Basic Beliefs of the LDS Church

Basic Beliefs

LDS.org
- This is by far the best website for Mormons on the Internet. It has everything: The LDS scriptures complete with footnotes and cross references, the Topical Guide, the last 30 years of Church magazines, recent Conference Reports in full-text and audio, exhaustive search tools, an online Church Distribution store, press releases, recent Church news, information on our basic beliefs, and much more. It is an invaluable help in preparing lessons and Sacrament talks. Highly recommended.

Mormon.org
- This is an official site of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is specifically designed for those who are interested in learning more about the basic doctrines, teachings, history, and organization of the Church.

About.com - What do members of the LDS Church believe? What are our gospel principles? Find articles here that will help teach the LDS Church's basic doctrines, including a LDS Church 101 course.

Accent on Mormon Beliefs - The purpose of this site is to provide some plain, simple-to-understand explanations to these and other questions in order to help LDS members gain greater insight into the scriptures so they can better appreciate what it is we believe and why.

All About Mormons - (blog) Our purpose is to dispel some of the many misconceptions about the Church and its members in an attempt to build cultural bridges between Mormons and those of other religions/philosophies.

Allen Leigh’s Mormon Site - A number of years ago, I discussed, over a four year period, the Gospel online with non-LDS. I've put my responses to them into a free online book in which I give my understanding of the basic teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and answer many criticisms of the Mormon Church.

Ask a Mormon - (blog)The purpose of this site is to give people with genuine questions about the "Mormon" church or its doctrines a chance to receive a fair response from people who are actually practicing members and believers.

Ask Gramps - Ask Gramps is a breath of fresh air, a favorite among young and old. He writes with down-home wit and knows something about everything (although he is not ashamed to admit that he often solicits help from experts to answer some questions). Gramps is highly conservative, unabashedly God-fearing, and will find a way to teach you a moral lesson. His approach is to invite people into his family through validating their concerns; providing quick, entertaining, easy-to-understand answers; and ending with
a warm sentiment that gives hope.

There is fun for LDS kids and LDS teens and a place for them to submit their ideas, as well as LDS travel where people can share their experiences as they travel to the different Church historical sites and events. Our favorite section however is the LDS Trivia, the first we have found with more than five trivia games for LDS members."
